Active Camouflage is a special weapon that renders the vehicle operating it invisible and silent.
A combination of phased array optics and vibration damping renders a vehicle effectively invisible. However given the massive energy requirements and sensitivity of the system, the field can only be maintained for a few seconds at a time and is disrupted by weapons fire or heavy impacts. As the effect is not perfect, close proximity will also reveal the stealthed vehicle.
Notes & Strategy
- The invisibility lasts for 6 seconds, but is disrupted by taking damage, firing weapons, stomping in Mechs or hitting the ground in Agravs. Tanks using Bull Rush are unaffected.
- Reloading from an Ammunition Depot will not disrupt invisibility.
- Hostiles in close proximity will still be able to detect the vehicle.
